
Dr. Scherr joined Mid Dakota Clinic PrimeCare in July 1993. He is board-certified by the American Board of Family Practice and holds certifications in Occupational Medicine.
A native of Bismarck, Dr. Scherr graduated summa cum laude from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks where he also received his medical degree in 1990. Prior to joining the Clinic, he completed his family practice residency at the UND Family Practice Center in Bismarck.
Dr. Scherr currently serves as clinical faculty for the UND School of Medicine. He is also a clinical instructor for the University of Mary Athletic Training department and is a volunteer physician for the Marauders football team.
In addition to his teaching roles and medical practice, Dr. Scherr has a special interest in the treatment and prevention of work related injuries, and serves as the Medical Director of Mid Dakota Clinic WorkLife Occupational Medicine. He also performs FAA approved flight physicals as a senior Aviation Medical Examiner (AME), and is a commercial, instrument rated pilot himself.
