Neurosurgery is the medical specialty concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of disorders or injuries to the brain, spinal cord or peripheral nerves (such as nerves in the hands or feet). The team of neurosurgeons at the Neuroscience Center conducts evaluations to diagnose and treat brain, nerve, and spinal cord diseases and disorders in children and adults. Disease and disorders which merit evaluation include Parkinson's disease, Epilepsy, spinal cord injuries, back and neck disorders, cerebral aneurysms, brain tumors, trauma, hydrocephalus and other neurosurgical disorders.
