
Dr. Jan Bury returned to Bismarck as a specialist in the field of obstetrics and gynecology, joining the staff Mid Dakota Clinic in August 1994. She was previously a clinical nurse coordinator of the labor and delivery department at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck. She is a fellow in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
A native of Bismarck, N.D., Dr. Bury attended Carroll College in Helena, Mont., and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Mary in Bismarck. She then attended University of North Dakota School of Medicine where she received her medical degree, followed by a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Missouri in Kansas City. She is the recipient of the J. Milton Singleton Award for Outstanding OB/GYN Resident, as well as the Bullinger Memorial Scholarship, Hubart Ruger Medical Scholarship and Saiki Medical Memorial Scholarship.
Dr. Bury is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of OB/GYN, has been a member of the Nurses Association of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists, as well as the American Society of Psychoprophylaxis in Obstetrics. Board certified in OB/GYN, she is licensed to practice medicine and the specialty of obstetrics and gynecology in the state of North Dakota.
