
Dr. John Watkins is the Research Director for the Bismarck Cancer Center. He is a radiation oncologist and specializes in the treatment of patients with cancer.
Dr. Watkins earned his medical degree at Indiana University School of Medicine, then fulfilled an internship at Clarian Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Ind. He completed a residency in radiation oncology at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, and has subsequently practiced in South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Indiana and North Dakota.
Dr. Watkins is an active member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology, the American Society for Clinical Oncology and the American Medical Association. He has faculty appointments as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at the Medical University of South Carolina and University of North Dakota.
