Thomas, M. Roy – MD

Dr. Thomas affiliated with Mid Dakota Clinic PrimeCare in August 1985. He is a specialist in treating diseases related to cancer (oncology) and hematology malignancy (blood cancer). His primary area of research interest is the use of biologic modifiers in cancer treatment, and new treatments of breast cancer.

Certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners, Dr. Thomas received his medical degree from Christian Medical College, Punjab, India, where he also served as lecturer of internal medicine and as senior resident. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in the specialty of Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology.

Prior to joining Mid Dakota Clinic, he was on the faculty and a medical oncologist with the Department of Medicine at the University of Colorado Health Services Center, where he also did his fellowship in medical oncology and hematology.

Currently, Dr. Thomas is an investigator with the North Central Cancer Treatment Group through Mayo Clinic and with the National Cancer Institute. He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor with the University of North Dakota and Medical Director of the Hospice Program at St. Alexius Medical Center.

Dr. Thomas as published many professional articles on topics related to medical oncology and cancer research. He is also a member of the American Medical Association, the North Dakota Medical Association and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Thomas is licensed to practice medicine in the specialty of medical oncology in the state of North Dakota.
