Dr. Nybakken graduated from UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences in 2008 where she received the Ray Duggan Memorial Endowment Scholarship, Kevin Monk Service Award, and the Karen and Elvira Lynner Medical Scholarship. Dr. Nybakken’s undergraduate degree is from Concordia College, Moorhead, Minnesota. She was involved in the Concordia Honors Biology Research Program as well as conducting research through the UND Department of Epidemiology investigating current screenings for prostate cancer. Dr. Nybakken’s professional experience includes that of women’s health, diabetes mellitus, genetics, endocrinology, and “fascinomas”–internal medicine cases. Outside of medicine, Dr. Nybakken enjoys music and musical theater, restoring old homes, volleyball, watching sports, and camping with family.
