
Dr. Hughes has been a Pulmonary Disease specialist at the Heart & Lung Clinic since 1979. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, training in both undergraduate and medical degrees. He is board certified Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Disease.
Dr. Hughes is Medical Director of the North Dakota School of Respiratory Care, and Director of the St. Alexius Cystic Fibrosis Center. He is current Governor of the American College of Chest Physicians for North Dakota. He is actively involved in all aspects of adult Pulmonary Disease.
Dr. Hughes’s wife Beth is a native of Bismarck, she has a masters degree in post secondary education and is an instructor in the NDSRC. Together with their two children, they share a strong commitment to North Dakota and the Bismarck-Mandan community. Dr. Hughes attends a satellite clinic in Carrington twice a month.
