Dr. Kathy Anderson joined Mid Dakota Clinic in December 2009. Dr. Anderson earned a Bachelor of Arts in sociology and african american studies from Brown University in Providence, R.I. She went on to complete her Doctor of Medicine from Brown University School of Medicine (renamed the Warren Alpert School of Medicine) where she received clerkship honors in pediatric medicine. Prior to joining the clinic, Dr. Anderson completed her pediatric residency through the University of Hawaii at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children in Honolulu.
During Dr. Anderson’s residency training at the University of Hawaii, she received the Pediatrics Chairman Book Award and was involved in a medicolegal partnership; working in conjunction with local attorneys to develop a comprehensive program for medical support, legal support and advocacy for children and their families. She also conducted research on the development of a weight estimator tool to be used for pediatric drug dosing in the emergency setting.
Dr. Anderson is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, having served on its national board for residents. She has a special interest in assisting underserved populations in the U.S. and abroad.
Dr. Anderson is board-certified in pediatrics and is licensed to practice medicine in the states of North Dakota and Hawaii.
