Great Plains Rehabilitation Services is NOT closing. Recent Blue Cross Blue Shield changes are forcing Great Plains Pharmacy to close its doors on December 31, 2005. This announcement has led to confusion in the community as the Pharmacy shares space with Great Plains Rehabilitation Services (GPRS), a home medical equipment provider. The closing of Great Plains Pharmacy will not affect the continued operation of GPRS or its services.
Great Plains Rehabilitation Services, located on 12th and Main, provides services to customers in five areas:
- Orthotics and Prosthetics Services – Custom braces and artificial limbs
- Respiratory Care Services – CPAP machines, home oxygen and nebulizers
- Rehabilitation Technology Services – Custom wheelchairs and seating systems
- Home Medical Equipment Services- Wheelchairs, walkers, canes, bathroom safety and more
- Home & Vehicle Accessible Services – Stair lifts, vehicle lifts, elevators and ramps
GPRS is owned and operated by St. Alexius Medical Center and is a member of the PrimeCare network.
