Easter Message
Posted on 4/1/2007
“When the women who had come from Galilee with Jesus came to the tomb, two men in dazzling garments said to them, ‘Why do you seek the living one among the dead? He is not here, but he has been raised. Remember what he said to you while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinners and be crucified, and rise on the third day.’ And the women remembered his words. Then they returned from the tomb and announced all these things to the eleven and to all the others.”
Luke 24 1-9
Dear Members and Friends of NACC,
As women and men of faith in ministry, we journey with those we serve to the tombs of their suffering, losses, and deaths, as well as our own. We do so with the deepest conviction that Christ has preceded us there. We do so with the surest hope that the voices of Christ’s messengers become Christ’s own voice, calling us from our confinement among the dead to our place among the truly living. We do so in the deepest faith that the Paschal Mystery has been made our own by God’s grace and mercy.
In the days of the Sacred Triduum and on the morning of Easter, may the grace of the Resurrection of Jesus the Christ touch our wounds and our fears with healing mercy. And may we lift our voices and hearts in creation’s song of joy in the victory of our God!
