St. Alexius Welcomes Five New Physicians

St. Alexius Medical Center is pleased to introduce five new physicians, Dr. Francis, Dr. Guanzon, Dr. Mahr, Dr. Mathew and Dr. Russon. These doctors join a team recognized for providing top-quality care throughout the region.

Lisa Francis, MD, is a rheumatologist with The Clinics of St. Alexius. Dr. Francis completed a residency in internal medicine and fellowship in rheumatology at SUNY Upstate Medical University.

Ricardo Guanzon, MD, is a hospitalist at St. Alexius Medical Center. Dr. Guanzon completed an internship followed by a residency in internal medicine in the Philippines and a residency in family practice at University of North Dakota’s Bismarck campus.

Nicholas Mahr, MD, is an interventional cardiologist at the St. Alexius Heart & Lung Clinic. Dr. Mahr finished a residency in internal medicine at Hackensack Medical Center. He completed a fellowship in critical care at Mount Sinai Medical Center and a fellowship in cardiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center of Greater Miami. In addition, he completed fellowships in noninvasive cardiology and interventional cardiology at Hartford Hospital.

Boban Mathew, MD, also joins Heart & Lung Clinic as an interventional cardiologist. Dr. Mathew finished a residency in internal medicine through the University of Buffalo. He completed a fellowship in cardiology at SUNY Upstate Medical University and a fellowship in interventional cardiology at an affiliate of Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals.

Troy Russon, MD, is an anesthesiologist at the St. Alexius Heart & Lung Clinic. Dr. Russon completed a residency in anesthesiology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minn.
