Great Plains Rehabilitation Services (GPRS) has been recognized as a “Provider of Quality Respiratory Care Services” by the American Association of Respiratory Care. GPRS is the only company in North Dakota to receive this designation for five consecutive years. The requirements for the designation are as follows: All respiratory therapists employed are legally recognized by the state as competent to provide respiratory therapy services.
* Respiratory therapists are available to patients 24 hours every day.
* Other personnel qualified to perform specific respiratory therapy procedures, and the supervision required for them to perform these specific procedures, must be designated in writing.
GPRS is a division of St. Alexius Medical Center. It offers a wide range of medical equipment and supplies that make day-to-day activities easier and more comfortable for older adults and assists patients recovering from illness, injury, surgery or hospitalization. Products available for rent or purchase include devices to help patients with sleep disorders, orthodics and prosthetics and home and vehicle accessibility equipment. GPRS currently serves 800 rental customers alone.
