Roy Thomas, MD

Dr. Mathew Roy Thomas is a medical oncologist with Mid Dakota Clinic in Bismarck. He received his medical degree from Christian Medical College, Brown Memorial Hospital, Punjab, India, where he completed his internship and residency training, and also served as a lecturer in the Department of Internal Medicine. Prior to joining Mid Dakota Clinic, he was on the faculty and a medical oncologist with the Department of Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology at the University of Colorado Health Science Center, where he also did his fellowship in oncology and hematology. Dr. Thomas is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in the specialty of internal medicine and medical oncology. He is a specialist in treating diseases related to cancer including blood related cancer. Dr. Thomas is an investigator with the North Central Cancer Treatment Group affiliated with Mayo Clinic and has direct access to investigational drugs from the National Cancer Institute, Washington, D.C. Dr. Thomas was elected a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a faculty member of the University of North Dakota. Dr. Thomas is also the medical director of St. Alexius Hospice. He has published about 35 professional articles related to cancer and cancer research. Dr. Thomas’ primary area of research interest is in the use of biologic modifiers in cancer treatment, treatment of cancer-related pain, malignant melanoma , breast cancer, leukemia and lymphoma.
