Come Celebrate Neonatal Intensive Care With Us!

St. Alexius Medical Center has been providing care to premature and ill babies since its beginning on Dakota territory, but in 1979 a Level III intensive care nursery was established with the support of its first full-time neonatologist. To celebrate the neonatal care given to the community and the region for the past 25-plus years, as well as honor NICU “graduates” and their families along with previous and current staff, an open house will be held on Saturday, October 9.

The public is invited to attend this celebration. It will be held in the St. Alexius Boniface Auditorium (10th St. and Rosser Ave. entrance) and doors will be open from 1:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. A short program will begin at 2 p.m. Other activities include a “Remembering the ‘Little’ Moments” video, children’s activities, historical and informational booths, free refreshments and NICU tours.

“Graduates” of the St. Alexius NICU and their families are encouraged to bring photos and to share their experiences. For more information, please contact Jamie Christensen at (701)-530-7053.
