St. Alexius: Top 20 United Way Contributor
St. Alexius Medical Center was again named one of the Top 20 contributors to Missouri Slope Areawide United Way. The 2002 campaign at St. Alexius raised $25, 291.12 and had more than 300 employee participants.
“It is a great accomplishment to say that we were one of the Top 20 contributors this year. It is comforting to know that our employees are generous enough to give so much, and that we are able to contribute as much as we do to support programs in the community,” said Keith Horner, St. Alexius Medical Center’s director of Pharmacy and co-chair of this year’s United Way campaign at the medical center.
The contribution from St. Alexius played a huge part in helping Missouri Slope Areawide United Way reach it’s goal of $1,075,000. The grand total of this year’s overall campaign was $1,076,313. United Way Marketing Officer, Amy Jo Johnson, remarked that this was a wonderful way to celebrate the United Way’s 75th anniversary. She added that the fundraising on behalf of St. Alexius employees is greatly appreciated and always needed.
“It would be difficult to attain our goal without St. Alexius. We always know that we can count on a fun campaign within the facility and produce amazing results. There is just so much that St. Alexius has to offer, even beyond the funds donated to the United Way,” Johnson said.
