Mark Koivula, FNP-C
Mark joined Mid Dakota Clinic PrimeCare in June 2009. He works collaboratively with the Internal Medicine department in the care of residents of various local long term care facilities. A native of North Battleford, Saskatchewan, Canada, Mark attended Minot State University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 1994. He went on to earn his Master of Science degree in Nursing at the University of Mary, where he became a certified Family Nurse Practitioner in May 2009. Mark has over 14 years of experience as a registered nurse, primarily working in critical care. Prior to joining Mid Dakota Clinic, he worked in the intensive care unit at Trinity Medical Center in Minot, the same day surgery center at the Medical Arts Clinic in Minot, as a travel nurse at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto, CA and most recently, as charge/triage nurse in the Emergency & Trauma Center at St. Alexius Medical Center. Mark is certified in Pediatric Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, CPR and has completed the Trauma Nurse Core Course. He is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is licensed to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the state of North Dakota.
