Maryse Mathieu, MD
Dr. Maryse Mathieu is an anesthesiologist with the St. Alexius Heart & Lung Clinic. She received her medical degree from Laval University, Quebec, Canada. She completed an anesthesiology residency at Laval University. She then completed a fellowship in cardiovascular anesthesia and intensive care with the Toronto Hospital. She successfully completed the Examination of Special Competence in Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography awarded by the National Board of Echocardiography in 2007. Dr. Mathieu has a special interest in cardiovascular and thoracic anesthesia, having served almost exclusively in this area of expertise for ten years after her fellowship and prior to joining the team at St. Alexius. Dr. Mathieu is board certified by The Royal College of Physicians of Canada. She is a member of the Canadian Society of Anesthesiologists, International Anesthesia Research Society and Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists.
