St. Alexius Human Performance Center

Athletic Development Services

Frappier Acceleration was founded in the 1980’s by North Dakota native John Frappier, an exercise physiology and kinesiology graduate from Kansas State. In 1991, St. Alexius purchased the first Acceleration license. Since that time Acceleration has grown to be one of the premier sport training programs.

It currently has training centers in the United States, Canada, Europe,

Japan, Brazil and Australia.

The program features patented treadmills and sport cord

accomplishing a neuromuscular response by running at top speeds of 28 mph and at inclines of 40% grade. The sport cord technologies create a sport specific response without excessively overloading the joint’s capabilities.

This program features

five progressive conditioning levels leading to several professional levels. The program can be used as a preseason conditioning program, an ideal postseason conditioning program, or part of a year-round training program designed by the professionals at the Human Performance Center.

PLYOMETRICS
A form of exercise which is now considered to be an essential component of any training program. These short-burst jumping exercises improve muscular quickness and power.

SPORT SPECIFIC TRAINING
Throughout the year the Human Performance Center, in conjunction with local coaches, will provide timely training sessions which are designed to enhance sport-specific skills. Fundamentals are not overrated! The training programs provide neuromuscular response sought after by many professionals but never accomplished until now.

WEIGHT TRAINING
The weight training center at the Human Performance Center is designed to enhance the effects of any program provided by the Human Performance Center or to be used as a separate strengthening program. The center includes Cybex Eagle and VR2, and free weights.
