Heart & Lung Clinic Receives Diabetes Care Award

The St. Alexius Heart & Lung Clinic, Bismarck, ND, is one of 17 clinics to receive the North Dakota Diabetes Care Clinic Achievement Award.
Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota, in cooperation with the North Dakota Department of Health Diabetes Prevention and Control Program, sponsors the annual awards presented each spring. The award recognizes clinics that have demonstrated excellence in managing the care of diabetes patients and is based on American Diabetes Association guidelines.
To receive the award, a clinic must have at least 10 patients with diabetes, more than one practitioner and have met all five achievement goals in 2008.
