Great Plains Rehabilitation Services (GPRS) is helping bring awareness to disabled athletes in the community by sponsoring the Wizards basketball game on Friday, April 10, 2009.
Join Jake Frank, Hazen native and an athlete with the Challenged Athletes Foundation and Great Plains Rehabilitation Services patient, for tip off at 7:00 p.m. Jake is an active 10 year-old boy that never let his two prosthetic legs slow him down. He has traveled all over the United States participating in Challenged Athletes Foundation activities and speaking about his experiences. He has been featured on such shows as Oprah.
For half-time, check out the wheelchair basketball game. This demonstration is brought to you by GPRS and features athletes who are wheelchair bound and some that just enjoy the game. Wheelchair basketball has had a presence in Bismarck for over 20 years and anyone is welcome to play the sport!
Great Plains Rehabilitation Services is a division of St. Alexius Medical Center which provides medical product services to the general public, healthcare professionals and medical facilities. Great Plains uses its community presence to provide needed medical and health-related products to help individuals lead active and independent lives. GPRS will have an information booth at the basketball game highlighting all the services they provide.
