St. Alexius Auxiliary contributes $15,000 to the Foundation

The Auxiliary presented Andrew Wilson, President and CEO of St. Alexius Medical Center, a gift of $15,000 to provide funding to continue to enhance patient care at St. Alexius.

On February 3, 2009 the St. Alexius Auxiliary presented Andrew Wilson, President and Chief Executive Officer of St. Alexius Medical Center a gift of $15,000 to provide funding to continue to enhance patient care at St. Alexius. The Auxiliary’s generous contribution reflects the purpose and tradition of the Auxiliary – to enhance the welfare of the medical center’s patients and visitors. The check was presented during the Auxiliary Annual Meeting.

Established in 1948, the St. Alexius Auxiliary has raised over $1,000,000 to benefit the St. Alexius Medical Center Foundation. Their contributions have made significant impacts on the medical center. The Auxiliary’s primary source of revenues is the operation of the medical center gift shop, open seven days per week. As a result, all proceeds from the gift shop are contributed to the Foundation.

Auxiliary members share their time and talents to create a healing environment within the medical center. Thanks to the Auxiliary, patients receive handmade holiday tray favors and prayer blankets. Ortho patients receive toe cozies and certain times of the year babies receive special blankets.
