Project 2000 Building Designed for Enhanced Access

Posted on 6/25/2001

You will be taking fewer steps to reach outpatient services and clinics at St. Alexius when the Project 2000 Building opens this summer. The new building on East Rosser Avenue brings together in one convenient location, emergency care, laboratory, imaging, physical and occupational therapy services. The facility, with its common admitting area, will also be home to a pharmacy and access to the Heart and Lung, Neurology, Arthritis and Physical Medicine clinics.

It’s a move that will reduce the average walk for services by 700 feet. The hospital’s nearby parking lot has been expanded by 160 spaces, underscoring the emphasis on enhanced access.

The decision to construct the Project 2000 Building reflects a commitment by St. Alexius to meet the changing health care needs of its patients by providing an environment that allows optimal delivery of outpatient and clinic services. Patient comfort was also in mind when building designers added an oasis where heavenly eats, treats and coffee will tempt you in the aptly named Cafe’ Etc.
