Facts and History of the Frappier Acceleration Sports Training Program

The Frappier Acceleration Sports Training program was founded in Fargo, North Dakota in 1990 and is the world’s premier provider of advanced athletic performance enhancement training programs. Over 900 pages of researched based training protocols and specifically designed exercises have been written to help enhance the performance of athletes of all ages and skill levels.

More than 100,000 athletes in over 103 facilities throughout the United States, Canada, Japan and the United Kingdom have completed at least one level of the program. And over 2500 professional athletes from the National Football League, Major League Baseball, National Basketball Association, Major League Soccer, and National Hockey League have participated in the program. In the 2002 Winter Olympics the first gold medal was won by an athlete who trained with Frappier Acceleration Sports Training. The facility in Bismarck, North Dakota at the St. Alexius Human Performance Center, was the second site to open in 1991. In the past 12 years the St. Alexius Human Performance Center has trained approximately 2400 athletes.

It is recommended that athletes can start the program in between the ages of 10 to 12 years of age, this also depends upon the athletes physical development. The Frappier Acceleration Sports Training program takes 6 weeks to complete. The program is designed to be an off season training program. Participants will see the best results if they are not involved in other sporting events during the six week training period, and are able to complete the program in consecutive weeks. The athlete needs to be done training 7 to 10 days before pre-season starts for their sport. A typical training week will involve 2 treadmill sessions, 2 plyometric sessions and 2 strength sessions.

The Frappier Acceleration Sports Training program has 5 levels of training. There are also specicality levels available which include: 800 – 1500 meter distance running, 5K to 10K distance running, recreational athlete, youth protocols, backpedal, collegiate football lineman and backs, gymnastic protocol, figure skating protocol, pro baseball, pro football lineman and speed, and proprioceptive rehab level. The Frappier Hockey Acceleration program has 3 levels of training. The speciality levels are: Advanced High School, Backward Skating, Jr. Skating Level, Pro Hockey and Hockey Goalie. Athletes participating for the first time in either the running or the hockey programs start on level 1.

The price of the program will vary from each site. At the St. Alexius Human Performance Center the cost of the full running program is $299.00, with the speciality levels varying in price. There are half programs (3 weeks) available for $180.00. The full hockey program is $360.00, a half program (3 weeks) is $240.00.
