St. Alexius Medical Center To Dedicate Boniface Hall Cross
Posted on 10/14/2003
St. Alexius Medical Center will hold a special dedication of the Boniface Hall Cross Thursday, Oct. 23 at 11 a.m. near the 10th Street Entrance of the Medical Center.
The Boniface Hall Cross once hung on Boniface Hall- a landmark building on the St. Alexius Medical Center Campus. The building was named in honor of Sister Boniface Timmins, a long-time leader and mentor at St. Alexius. Boniface Hall was torn down several years ago. St. Alexius then dedicated Boniface Auditorium, in the 2000 Patient Access Building to Sister Boniface Timmins.
The Boniface Hall Cross has been erected outside Boniface Auditorium as a memorial to Sister Boniface and as a reminder of Boniface Hall. St. Alexius would like to invite the media and the public to attend this special dedication of the Boniface Hall Cross.
The program goes as follows:
WELCOME – Mr. Richard Tschider, St. Alexius CEO
REMARKS – Sister Susan Berger, OSB, Annunciation Monastery Prioress
HISTORICAL OVERVIEW OF SISTER BONIFACE AND BONIFACE HALL – Sister Joanne Graham, OSB
BLESSING AND DEDICATION OF CROSS – Father Jack O’Leary
