Hot Flashes?

Posted on 3/23/2006

Symptoms of menopause affect many women over the age of 40. Hot flashes (sudden sensations of heat, often accompanied by sweating, racing pulse, and anxiety) are the most common symptom of menopause.

Medical professionals at a site near you are conducting a clinical trial of an investigational treatment for hot flashes. You may be eligible to participate in this research program.

To qualify, you must:

  • be between 40 and 64 years of age
  • have not had a hysterectomy
  • have not had a period for at least 6 months
  • be experiencing multiple daily hot flashes with sweating.

Qualified participants will receive study-related medication, mammograms, examinations and laboratory tests at no charge, and compensation for time and travel.
