St. Alexius and VFW Sign Purchase Agreement

St. Alexius Medical Center and the Bismarck Veterans of Foreign Wars post announce future plans for the VFW building located at 1326 East Broadway. The two organizations signed a mutual agreement regarding the purchase of the building in January. The VFW will occupy the facility for the next two years, as needed.
“We couldn’t have drawn up a better agreement than this one,” says Chris Ebertz, Incoming Commander of VFW Post 1326. “This is a win-win situation. These next couple years will present us with a great opportunity to continue to do our work while we decide on a building which better meets the needs of our members.” The purpose of the VFW is to give veterans an opportunity to offer support services to our community’s veterans.
Andrew L. Wilson, CEO of St. Alexius, agrees. “The VFW and St. Alexius have been good neighbors for many years. We will want the VFW Club to take the time to consider how they want to grow as an organization.”
“In the upcoming months St. Alexius will be utilizing the west portion of the VFW’s parking lot as they drill energy efficient geothermal wells for their new administrative building located across the street,” says Ebertz. “The VFW will remain open and will be conducting business as usual.”
