The St. Alexius Medical Center Cancer Program is accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (CoC). St. Alexius provides inpatient oncology services and outpatient medical specialty services and works closely with the medical oncologists and surgeons at Mid Dakota Clinic; the radiation oncologists and physicists at the Bismarck Cancer Center and the Pathologists at Pathology, P.C., along with nursing, quality, pastoral care, education, pharmacy, radiology, laboratory, clinical research, social work, community outreach and behavioral health staff, to provide comprehensive cancer services for individuals diagnosed with cancer.
The 2009 Cancer Center Annual Report focuses on kidney cancer, taking a closer look at kidney cancer risk factors, treatments and outcomes. The report also shares national, state and Central North Dakota Cancer Registry kidney cancer data with review by Leslie Rainwater, MD, urologist and member of St. Alexius Medical Staff.
