Dining with Diabetes

An Educational Program for People with Diabetes and their Families

    This educational program is open to anyone with diabetes and their family members or caretakers. The registration fee is $40 with an additional family member or caretaker attending for $10. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Participants must attend all class sessions.

    Dining with Diabetes is an educational program that teaches individuals with diabetes and their families about managing the disease. Participants will learn up-to-date information on nutrition, meal planning, exercise and how to understand common diabetes-related medical tests. Classes include food taste tests and demonstrations on preparing foods that are healthy without cutting flavor.

    The sessions will be taught by Diane Marcotte, LRD, CDE, St. Alexius; Vanessa Hoines, Extension Agent/Morton County NDSU Extension Service; Jeanine Wall-Hebert, LRD, Custer Health.

    The Dining with Diabetes program is being offered through a partnership between NDSU Extension Service, St. Alexius Medical Center and Custer Health.

    Dining with Diabetes is an educational program of North Dakota State University Extension Service. Programs offered by the North Dakota State University Extension Service are available to all persons without regard to race, color, sex, disability, religion, age, veteran status, political beliefs, sexual orientation, national origin, and martial or family status.
