St. Alexius Medical Center is now part of the Postural Restoration Institute (PRI) National Network. Postural Restoration is a holistic, posture-based approach to management of patients, considering influence of the skeleton and muscles and other body systems on posture. PRI techniques are used to treat impingement and instability of the scapula, shoulder, pelvis, hip/groin, knee and ankle.
The focus of Postural Restoration is on restoring faulty posture believed to be a cause of complaints toward normal, rather then directing interventions toward the painful extremity or region of complaints.
